John came to Virginia Career Works – Harrisonburg Center as a convicted felon who had lost his construction job. After obtaining his CDL permit and taking advantage of Center case management and WIOA program services, John was able to complete CDL training through Blue Ridge Community College and successfully receive his Class – A license. Only weeks after graduation, he is now working for a trucking company he loves and is employed in a high demand field with a secure financial future for himself and his family.
