The Shenandoah Valley Workforce Development Board recognized Virginia Career Works Center staff at the April board meeting. SVWDB CEO, Dr. Sharon Johnson, acknowledged the staff as the heart, soul, and guts of workforce service delivery in the region’s Virginia Career Works Centers. Everything that is accomplished through the Adult, Dislocated Worker, and Youth programs happens through these dedicated individuals. Career Center staff have delivered outstanding performance across all three programs, exceeding last year’s performance metrics in participant employment, credential attainment, and participant median earnings. “It is with great pleasure that we recognize the Career Center staff and thank them for their service to others as they work every day to change lives and make a difference in our community,” said Dr. Johnson.
